AN ACT PROHIBITING SEXUAL OFFENDERS FROM PARTICIPATING IN THE EARNED RISK REDUCTION CREDIT PROGRAM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 18-98e of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the award of earned risk reduction credit to any inmate convicted of a sexual offense who is required to register with the Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection pursuant to chapter 969 of the general statutes.

Statement of Purpose:

To protect the public by prohibiting sexual offenders from participating in the earned risk reduction credit program.
