AN ACT CONCERNING THE SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT AT CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BRIDGEPORT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That notwithstanding the provisions of section 10-282 of the general statutes or any regulation adopted by the State Board of Education or the Department of Administrative Services requiring that a renovated facility take on a useful life comparable to that of a new facility, the town of Bridgeport shall be allowed to exclude the ice rink, natatorium and outdoor athletic facilities at Central High School (Project Number 015-0174 EA) from the scope of renovation and be eligible for consideration as a renovation project at the high school facility.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow the extension and alteration project at Central High School in Bridgeport to be considered a renovation project for the purposes of a school construction grant.
