AN ACT CREATING A PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION TAKE-BACK PROGRAM IN EACH MUNICIPALITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require each municipality to coordinate with its police department and local pharmacies to create a program, in a cost-effective manner, through which residents of the municipality may drop off unused prescription medications within the municipality.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a prescription take-back program in each municipality.
