AN ACT CONCERNING HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE CLAIMS RESULTING FROM A CATASTROPHIC EVENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit declination, cancellation or nonrenewal of a homeowners insurance policy based solely on a loss incurred as a result of a catastrophic event.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit declination, cancellation or nonrenewal of a homeowners insurance policy based solely on a loss incurred as a result of a catastrophic event.
