AN ACT ELIMINATING ASSESSMENTS PAID BY EMPLOYERS TO SATISFY THE INTEREST DUE ON ADVANCES FROM THE FEDERAL UNEMPLOYMENT ACCOUNT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to eliminate any requirement that employers contribute any funds to satisfy the interest due on advances from the federal unemployment account under Title XII of the Social Security Act (42 U.S. Code Sections 1321 to 1324).
Statement of Purpose:
To provide monetary relief to businesses in the state by eliminating special assessments as they relate to interest due on advances from the federal unemployment account.
