AN ACT ESTABLISHING A COMMISSION TO STUDY PRIVATE AND STATE-OPERATED GROUP HOMES SERVING PERSONS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 319b of the general statutes be amended to require the establishment of a commission that will examine the quality and cost of care provided by group homes operated by the Department of Developmental Services and by private providers.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a commission that will examine whether the Department of Developmental Services would realize cost savings by switching group home care by the state to private providers.
