AN ACT CONCERNING LIENS ON BLIGHTED PROPERTY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
To amend the general statutes to provide that, for anti-blight enforcement actions, a municipality may place a lien on any personal property or assets of a property owner and is not limited to placing such lien on the property subject to the enforcement action, and to further provide that, for purposes of this provision, "owner" shall include any limited liability corporation or any partnership that owns the property subject to the enforcement action.
Statement of Purpose:
To give municipalities greater ability to enforce anti-blight ordinances and codes to improve quality of life in their neighborhoods.
