AN ACT PROHIBITING THE SETTING OF PAYMENTS BY INSURERS FOR NONCOVERED BENEFITS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit insurers from setting payments to health care providers for services and procedures that are not covered benefits under a health care provider's contract with the insurer.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit insurers from setting payments to health care providers for services and procedures that are not covered benefits under a health care provider's contract with the insurer.
