AN ACT ESTABLISHING A PILOT PROGRAM FOR NATURAL GAS TRANSPORTATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to establish a natural gas transportation pilot program to facilitate the deployment of natural gas vehicles in municipalities. Such pilot program shall include not more than three partnerships between up to three municipalities and a natural gas company.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage the conversion of municipal vehicle fleets to natural gas and to develop natural gas refueling stations.
