AN ACT CONCERNING RESIDENT REPRESENTATION ON THE BOARDS OF CONTINUING-CARE RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require continuing-care retirement communities to adopt bylaws that reserve a voting position for an established term on their boards of directors for a resident duly elected by other community members.
Statement of Purpose:
To give residents of continuing-care retirement communities greater input into decisions that impact them.
