AN ACT EXEMPTING SOCIAL SECURITY INCOME FROM THE PERSONAL INCOME TAX.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 229 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the imposition of the personal income tax on Social Security income.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide tax relief to residents who receive Social Security income by exempting such income from the personal income tax.
