AN ACT CONCERNING VIOLATIONS OF HANDICAPPED PARKING LAWS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 14-253a of the general statutes be amended to require that police issue a citation to anyone who violates state law by parking in spaces designated for those with disabilities.
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate the discretion of police to give a warning rather than a citation to violators of laws that are intended to reserve parking spaces for those with disabilities.
