AN ACT REQUIRING A TWO-THIRDS VOTE FOR ANY TAX INCREASE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require a vote of at least two-thirds of each house of the General Assembly on any bill proposing a tax increase.
Statement of Purpose:
To require a two-thirds vote of the General Assembly before taxes can be raised.
