AN ACT REQUIRING LICENSURE OF MASTER'S-LEVEL PSYCHOLOGISTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 383 of the general statutes be amended to require licensure of master's-level psychologists who (1) possess a master's degree from a program of graduate study in psychology awarded by an institution of higher education, (2) have completed three years of full-time, post-degree supervised professional experience or its equivalent in part-time experience, (3) have passed an examination for professional practice in psychology, and (4) complete a minimum of seven hours of competence experience annually to retain licensure, to be licensed by the Department of Public Health.
Statement of Purpose:
To require master's-level psychologists to be licensed by the Department of Public Health.
