AN ACT CONCERNING INVESTIGATION OF DUPLICATION IN STATE GOVERNMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. Section 3-6 of the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 1, 2010):
The Governor shall have such investigatory authority as is conferred or imposed upon the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management in section 4-67. [He] The Governor may, from time to time, investigate duplication of work and the efficiency of the organization and administration of budgeted agencies. [He] The Governor may formulate plans for the better coordination of the work of the budgeted agencies. [He] The Governor may direct such action by the several budgeted agencies as will, in [his] the Governor's judgment, effect efficiency and economy in the conduct of the affairs of the state government.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||
