AN ACT IMPLEMENTING A THREE-YEAR MORATORIUM ON THE PREVAILING WAGE LAWS FOR CERTAIN MUNICIPAL PROJECTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 31-53 of the general statutes be amended to impose a three-year moratorium on the application of prevailing wage rates for essential school and transportation projects undertaken by municipalities.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide property tax relief to towns and to ensure that maximum funding is made available for local school and transportation projects.
