AN ACT CONCERNING WATER UTILITY COORDINATING COMMITTEES, WATER SYSTEMS, INTERCONNECTIONS AND PLANNING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require Water Utility Coordinating Committees, water systems, interconnections and planning to be based on watershed principles requiring diversion permits and impact assessments regardless of political or service area designations.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that watershed decisions are based upon the availability of the resource rather than on political and service area designations.
