AN ACT CONCERNING ADDENDUMS TO CONTRACTS BETWEEN THE STATE AND ANY MUNICIPALITY IN WHICH A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY IS LOCATED.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) The legislative body of any municipality in which a correctional facility is located that is under the supervision of the Commissioner of Correction and is owned or leased by the state may seek and obtain an addendum to any contract related to the correctional facility that is in effect between the municipality and a state agency. For the purposes of this section, "municipality" means a town, city or consolidated town and borough.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
