AN ACT CONCERNING THE APPROVAL OF MUNICIPAL CONTRACTS DURING PERIODS OF HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow the legislative body of any municipality to reject any contract and decline to send such contract back to arbitration until the state's unemployment rate falls to a prerecession rate for a period of not less than six months.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide municipal legislative bodies with final sign-off on municipal contracts during periods of high unemployment.
