AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND IN-SERVICE TRAINING REQUIREMENT RELATING TO THE RESTRAINT AND SECLUSION OF STUDENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapters 166 and 170 of the general statutes be amended to limit professional development and in-service training relating to the restraint and seclusion of students, in accordance with the provisions of section 10-236b of the general statutes, to only those teachers and school personnel, as determined by the principal of the school, who may have to perform such restraint and seclusion on a student.
Statement of Purpose:
To require only those educators who may have to perform restraint or seclusion of a student to complete training related to such restraint and seclusion.
