AN ACT PROHIBITING DRUG FELONS FROM RECEIVING STATE-ADMINISTERED GENERAL ASSISTANCE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17b-191 of the general statutes be amended to institute a lifetime ban on any person convicted of a drug felony from receiving state-administered general assistance.
Statement of Purpose:
To foster accountability and eliminate fraud and abuse in taxpayer-funded assistance programs.
