AN ACT ELIMINATING THE IMPOSITION OF PERSONAL INCOME TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY INCOME.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 229 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the imposition of the personal income tax on Social Security income.
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate the imposition of the personal income tax on Social Security income in order to make Connecticut tax rates more competitive with other states and provide tax relief to senior citizens.
