AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROHIBITION OF THE USE OF STUDENT MASTERY TEST RESULTS IN TEACHER PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That subsection (a) of section 10-151b of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the use of student performance data on mastery examinations, conducted pursuant to section 10-14n of the general statutes, among the multiple indicators of student academic growth for purposes of teacher performance evaluations.

Statement of Purpose:

To prohibit the use of students' mastery test results in an individual teacher's performance evaluation.
