AN ACT CONCERNING STATE REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE SPECIAL EDUCATION COSTS FOR CERTAIN STUDENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-76g of the general statutes be amended to require the state to reimburse school districts for one hundred per cent of the cost of special education for a student who enrolls in the school district in the middle of the school year.
Statement of Purpose:
To require the state to reimburse school districts for the funding of special education students who enter a school district after the school year has begun.
