AN ACT CONCERNING THE START DATE OF THE VIETNAM ERA WITH RESPECT TO VETERANS' BENEFITS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 27-103 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the Vietnam Era began on February 1, 1955, rather than February 28, 1961, with respect to the "periods of war" that qualify as "service in time of war" for veterans' benefits purposes.

Statement of Purpose:

To change the start date of the Vietnam Era from February 28, 1961, to February 1, 1955, with respect to service that qualifies for veterans' benefits.
