AN ACT REQUIRING BACKUP GENERATORS FOR PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 474 of the general statutes be amended to require that public water supply systems, including wells maintained by homeowners associations, have backup generators for use when there is a power failure.
Statement of Purpose:
To require all public community well water systems, including those maintained by private homeowners associations, have backup generators.
