AN ACT BANNING CERTAIN POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 155 of the general statutes be amended to impose a ban on political contributions by: (1) Leadership of unions; (2) leadership of nonprofit organizations that receive state funding; (3) leadership of state boards and commissions; (4) leadership of state agencies; and (5) leadership of municipal agencies.

Statement of Purpose:

To prohibit political contributions by certain individuals and increase transparency in the financing of election campaigns in the state.
