AN ACT CONCERNING THE QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 3-124 of the general statutes be amended to delete the requirement that the Attorney General have at least ten years' active practice at the bar of this state as an attorney.

Statement of Purpose:

To empower voters and to harmonize qualifications for the office of Attorney General with the qualifications of other states.
