AN ACT ELIMINATING A TOWN'S ABILITY TO PHASE IN A REAL PROPERTY ASSESSMENT DECREASE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 12-62c of the general statutes be amended to remove language allowing towns implementing a revaluation to phase in a real property assessment decrease.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide that a town implementing a revaluation may phase in a real property assessment increase but not a decrease.
