AN ACT LIMITING THE INCREASE IN THE VALUE OF PROPERTY FOR PURPOSES OF REVALUATIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 203 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit municipalities, upon revaluation, from increasing property taxes based on an increase in the value of any property of more than fifty per cent.

Statement of Purpose:

To maintain fair property taxes.
