AN ACT ESTABLISHING QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-3a of the general statutes be amended to require that any person who is appointed Commissioner of Education to be a qualified person with a master's degree or higher in an education-related field, five or more years' experience as a teacher in this state or another state and three or more years' experience as an administrator of a school or school district in this state or another state.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish qualifications for the position of Commissioner of Education.
