AN ACT PROHIBITING OVERTIME PAYMENTS FROM BEING USED TO CALCULATE THE RETIREMENT INCOME OF STATE EMPLOYEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 66 of the general statutes be amended to exclude payments of overtime from the calculations of base salary for purposes of determining state employees' retirement income.

Statement of Purpose:

To remove overtime pay from pension calculations for retiring state employees.
