AN ACT PROVIDING CUSTOMERS OF PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANIES AN OUTAGE CREDIT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 16 of the general statutes be amended to require each public service company to credit any customer of such company the proportionate share of service not received in a billing period when such service is interrupted for four or more continuous days and such interruption is not caused by such customer.

Statement of Purpose:

To hold public service companies financially responsible for customer outages.
