AN ACT CONCERNING THE ELECTION OF COCHAIRPERSONS TO BOARDS OF EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-218 of the general statutes be amended to permit local and regional boards of education to elect two cochairpersons from its membership.
Statement of Purpose:
To permit boards of education to elect two cochairpersons to lead the board so as to allow for a stronger board of education.
