AN ACT CONCERNING MEDICAID FUNDING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Social Services shall review current state funding for Medicaid, including funding for the Medicare Savings Program, to determine whether such funding is the most cost-efficient, equitable and effective means of funding Medicaid. In conducting said review, the commissioner may consult with such representatives of other state agencies as the commissioner deems necessary. On or before October 1, 2018, the commissioner shall submit, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, the results of the review to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to appropriations and the budgets of state agencies and human services. The results shall include recommendations for revisions to state funding for Medicaid and any legislation necessary to implement such revisions.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||
