AN ACT CONCERNING TRAINING OF LICENSED HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS WHO CLEAR STUDENT ATHLETES FOR PARTICIPATION IN SUPERVISED TEAM ACTIVITIES AFTER A CONCUSSION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-149c of the general statutes be amended to require licensed health care professionals who provide clearance for student athletes to participate in supervised team activities after displaying signs of a concussion to have undergone training in the treatment and management of a concussion.
Statement of Purpose:
To strengthen existing student athlete concussion legislation.
