AN ACT CONCERNING THE UNIFORM ADOPTION OF BEST PRACTICES BY THE STATE'S HOSPITALS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 368v of the general statutes be amended to require all licensed hospitals to adopt uniform safety checklist programs for stipulated procedures and practices performed in such hospitals.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce medical errors and the risk of infections caused by a hospital's failure to consistently apply best practices in patient care and treatment.
