AN ACT CONCERNING CHANGES TO THE PREVAILING WAGE FOR PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 31-53 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the prevailing wage shall not apply to public works projects for new construction where the total cost is less than one million dollars or for remodeling, refurbishing, rehabilitation, alteration or repair where the total cost is less than five hundred thousand dollars.

Statement of Purpose:

To increase the prevailing wage thresholds for public works projects.
