AN ACT REQUIRING ELDERLY HOUSING TO HAVE AN AUTOMATED, HANDICAPPED-ACCESSIBLE DOOR TO COMMON FACILITIES AND COMMUNITY ROOMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require all elderly housing that receives funding from the Connecticut Housing Authority to have at least one automated, handicapped-accessible door providing access to the common facilities and community rooms located within such housing.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow handicapped residents of elderly housing to easily access common facilities and community rooms.
