AN ACT CONCERNING THE SENTENCING OF PERSISTENT DANGEROUS FELONY OFFENDERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That subsection (h) of section 53a-40 of the general statutes be amended to provide that a person who is convicted of a dangerous felony and has been twice previously convicted of a dangerous felony shall be sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Statement of Purpose:

To enact a true "three strikes" law in this state.
