AN ACT PROHIBITING A LANDLORD FROM INCLUDING THE NAME OF A MINOR CHILD IN A NOTICE TO QUIT POSSESSION AND SUMMARY PROCESS COMPLAINT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 47a-23 and 47a-23a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit a landlord from naming a minor child in a notice to quit possession and a summary process complaint.

Statement of Purpose:

To protect the privacy of minor children by ensuring that the names of such children cannot be included in a notice to quit possession and a summary process complaint.
