AN ACT EXEMPTING THE ADDRESSES OF PERSONS ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE FROM DISCLOSURE UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (b) of section 1-210 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the disclosure of the address of a person arrested for domestic violence.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage victims to report incidents of domestic violence to the police.
