AN ACT CONCERNING THE MODIFICATION OF SCHOOL BUS ROUTES FOLLOWING A NATURAL DISASTER.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to authorize a superintendent of schools of a local or regional school district to modify any school bus route in such district if the roads on any such school bus route are impassable due to a natural disaster.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow superintendents of schools to modify school bus routes following a natural disaster.
