AN ACT CONCERNING MINOR PARTY QUALIFICATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 9-372 of the general statutes be amended to provide that any political party or organization that qualifies as a minor party (1) for any office during a state election also qualifies as a minor party for subsequent municipal elections in all municipalities wholly contained within the district of such office, and (2) for any state-wide office also qualifies as a minor party for all other state-wide offices.
Statement of Purpose:
To expand access to the ballot for nonmajor political parties and organizations.
