AN ACT LIMITING NEGATIVE CAMPAIGNING BY PARTY COMMITTEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to require that state central and town committees use their funds only to promote the success of a candidate.

Statement of Purpose:

To prohibit the use of state central and town committee funds for negative campaigning.
