AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY TO IDENTIFY WAYS FOR STATE GOVERNMENT TO PARTNER WITH HOSPITALS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Public Health, in collaboration with the Insurance Commissioner, shall study ways in which the state can partner with hospitals to enhance access to and affordability of health care and to help meet hospitals' workforce and economic needs. Not later than January 1, 2019, the Commissioner of Public Health shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to public health and insurance regarding the outcome of the study.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||
