AN ACT CONCERNING HUMANE EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 164 of the general statutes be amended to allow the Humane Society, ASPCA or other animal welfare organizations to provide free classes about pet care and humane animal treatment at elementary and high schools.

Statement of Purpose:

To educate children regarding the humane treatment of animals and pets.
