AN ACT CONCERNING THE TERMINATION OF "ROBO" CALLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 42-288a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit callers from using an automatic dialing-announcing device unless the device is designed and operated to disconnect upon termination of the telephone call by the subscriber.
Statement of Purpose:
To require the termination of a "robo" call when the recipient of the call hangs up the telephone.
