AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TAX CREDIT FOR BUSINESSES THAT HIRE UNEMPLOYED OR SELF-EMPLOYED PERSONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish a tax credit, capped at a fixed amount, for businesses that hire a person who was previously (1) collecting unemployment benefits for six months or more, or (2) self-employed.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a tax credit for businesses that hire unemployed or self-employed persons.
