AN ACT CONCERNING THE AWARD OF COSTS AND ATTORNEY'S FEES IN AN ACTION CONCERNING A HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE POLICY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2014, and applicable to actions commenced on or after said date) A plaintiff who prevails in any action concerning a first party claim under homeowners insurance policy shall be allowed costs and a reasonable attorney's fee.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||

Statement of Purpose:
To award costs and a reasonable attorney's fee to a plaintiff who prevails in any action concerning a homeowners insurance policy.
